For years now we have limped along in the area of televising our services due to very old and outdated equipment. We’ve accomplished what we have due to the diligence and expertise of Arthur Smith, who just keeps patching up our old stuff. It is time that we as a church family “step up to the plate” and “bite the bullet” so this ministry can have an even greater impact. Almost weekly I hear from someone who is either watching our service on TV or via the Web. Quite literally, there is no limit to the impact this ministry can have, but we desperately need to upgrade the quality. We can only do this by replacing all of our present equipment and upgrading to high definition. This will be a costly venture, but to do nothing means we continue to lose ground in this ever-expanding opportunity to reach people. Therefore, we are designating Sunday, August 30 as High Def Sunday at DeSoto Hills. All the offerings on that 5th Sunday will be dedicated to this project. Thanks for your ongoing support of our ministries as we continue to help folks build on the right foundation, with the right materials, and for the right reason.
“By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should be careful how he builds. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.” I Corinthians 3:10-11
